Bethany Community Center: A space to connect, learn and grow together!
We’ve dreamed of a place where conversation flows easily, friendships form naturally, and our church family can welcome the community with warmth and joy.
We believe this dream is becoming reality—plans for the Bethany Church Community Center are moving forward.

Why?
Our current lobby and hallway space are small and crowded, making it hard to linger or connect.
The new 1,400-square-foot Community Center will be a bright, open area right where our offices are now—next to the first-floor elevator.
It will include new lighting, flooring, and furniture, creating a space for fellowship, discipleship, and outreach.

The New Space Will...
- Encourage conversation and connection among our church family
- Offer a welcoming environment for guests and community events-even personal events like birthday parties and showers.
- Provide room for discipleship groups, prayer, and small gatherings
- Serve as a comfortable space for ministries like The Haven, Scouts, and Mom’s Group
- Improve traffic flow and accessibility on Sunday mornings
How did we get here?
- Pastor Bob first shared the idea with Session about nine months ago.
- A nine-person committee—made up of elders, staff, property committee members, and church members of all ages—studied the need, visited other churches, and prayerfully shaped the plan.
- After several months of discussion and design, the plan was approved by Session.
FAQs
Where will it be located?
In the area currently used for church offices, next to the first-floor elevator (rooms 101–104).
How big will it be?
About 1,400 square feet, open and flexible for fellowship, small groups, and community events including baby showers and birthdays parties.
Where will the offices go?
Several options are being considered for relocating the church offices, but current plans involve moving them into the hallway containing the Anderson Room, Library, and Children’s Office.
What will it cost?
We plan to contract most of the work. Our next step will be to obtain three bids to compare cost and options. We’re also exploring ways to reduce costs, including using church volunteers. A final estimate will be available once bids are complete.
Who’s doing the work?
A professional contractor will handle construction, with Bethany volunteers assisting where possible.
