Our History, est. 1802

  • Associate (or Seceder) Church and Coolspring Seceder Church - the congregation meets in a local house built of logs, on the banks of Tent Spring, in the old Courthouse, many local homes
  • Approx. 1834 the "old brick church" was built
  • May 26, 1958 - the Associate (or Seceder) church and the Associate Reformed (or Union) Congregation unites to form  the First United Presbyterian Church
  • Venango Street United Presbyterian Church
  • 1864 - name change to Second United Presbyterian Church
  • January 25, 1895 - the church building is destroyed by fire
  • February 23, 1896 - the new church building is dedicated, its quick construction due to the efforts of the congregation
  • Mercer United Presbyterian Church (1946)
  • During Rev. Vogan's tenure the Vogan Annex was built
  • Bethany United Presbyterian Church (1963)
  • The new organ and console are dedicated in 1964
  • Bethany Presbyterian Church
